Nikas "Nik" Mermer is a Bay Area Based Artist known primarily for Printmaking and Photography. He studied Art at the University of California at Santa Cruz, where specialized in Printmaking and was awarded a grant from the University to spearhead research with new Printmaking machinery. He graduated in 2023, but continues to volunteer with the UC Santa Cruz Print Department, and participates in the annual Print Sale.
During the 50th anniversary of the Print Sale he was asked to display a collection of photographs he took of the studio during his time there.
Since Leaving Santa Cruz he has become a member of the Max's Garage Press in West Berkeley, where he's learned new skills He also volunteers and participates in their annual Print Sale.
Nik now focuses on the integration and experimentation of different kinds of Printmaking together and heightening their different aspects. He also collaborates with other artists whether they're Printmakers, Illustrators, or Painters.
